37:1
הָיְתָ֣ה עָלַי֮ יַד־יְהוָה֒
The Hand of Yehovah was over me,
וַיּוֹצִאֵ֤נִי בְר֙וּחַ֙ יְהוָ֔ה וַיְנִיחֵ֖נִי בְּת֣וֹךְ הַבִּקְעָ֑ה
And He brought me out by the Spirit of Yehovah,
and He set me down in the midst of the broad valley;
וְהִ֖יא מְלֵאָ֥ה עֲצָמֽוֹת׃
And it was full of bones;”
37:2
וְהֶעֱבִירַ֥נִי עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֑יב
And I was allowed to pass by them all around:
וְהִנֵּ֨ה רַבּ֤וֹת מְאֹד֙ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י הַבִּקְעָ֔ה
And behold they were vast over the face of that valley,
וְהִנֵּ֖ה יְבֵשׁ֥וֹת מְאֹֽד׃
And behold, very dry!
37:3
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י בֶּן־אָדָ֕ם הֲתִחְיֶ֖ינָה הָעֲצָמ֣וֹת הָאֵ֑לֶּה
Then He said to me,
“Son of mankind, shall these bones ever live?”
וָאֹמַ֕ר אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִ֖ה אַתָּ֥ה יָדָֽעְתָּ׃
And I said, “O Lord Yehovah, You of a certainty know.”
37:4
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י הִנָּבֵ֖א עַל־הָעֲצָמ֣וֹת הָאֵ֑לֶּה
And He said to me,
“Prophesy over these bones;
וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם הָעֲצָמוֹת֙ הַיְבֵשׁ֔וֹת
And you shall say to them,
‘Dry Bones,
שִׁמְע֖וּ דְּבַר־יְהוָֽה׃
Hear the Word of Yehovah!’ ”
37:5
כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה
“Thus Lord Yehovah has said
לָעֲצָמ֖וֹת הָאֵ֑לֶּה
to these bones:
הִנֵּ֨ה אֲנִ֜י מֵבִ֥יא בָכֶ֛ם ר֖וּחַ וִחְיִיתֶֽם׃
‘Behold I AM about to make breath enter you
and ye shall live!’ ”
37:6
וְנָתַתִּי֩ עֲלֵיכֶ֨ם גִּדִ֜ים וְֽהַעֲלֵתִ֧י עֲלֵיכֶ֣ם בָּשָׂ֗ר
“And I will put sinews on you,
and I will cause flesh to go up over you,
וְקָרַמְתִּ֤י עֲלֵיכֶם֙ ע֔וֹר וְנָתַתִּ֥י בָכֶ֛ם ר֖וּחַ וִחְיִיתֶ֑ם
And I will spread skin over you,
and I will put breath within you,
and ye shall live!
וִידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
Then ye shall know that I AM Yehovah!”
37:7
וְנִבֵּ֖אתִי כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר צֻוֵּ֑יתִי
And so I prophesied according to what I had been commanded;
וַֽיְהִי־ק֤וֹל כְּהִנָּֽבְאִי֙ וְהִנֵּה־רַ֔עַשׁ
And there was a noise while I was prophesying
and behold a rattling,
וַתִּקְרְב֣וּ עֲצָמ֔וֹת עֶ֖צֶם אֶל־עַצְמֽוֹ׃
And bones came together,
bone to its bone;
37:8
וְרָאִ֜יתִי וְהִנֵּֽה־עֲלֵיהֶ֤ם גִּדִים֙ וּבָשָׂ֣ר עָלָ֔ה
And I looked,
and behold sinews were over them,
and flesh had come up,
וַיִּקְרַ֧ם עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם ע֖וֹר מִלְמָ֑עְלָה
And skin had spread over them,
on top of it;
וְר֖וּחַ אֵ֥ין בָּהֶֽם׃
But there was no breath in them;
37:9
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י הִנָּבֵ֖א אֶל־הָר֑וּחַ
Then He said to me,
“Prophesy to the breath:
הִנָּבֵ֣א בֶן־אָ֠דָם
Prophesy O son of mankind,
וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֶל־הָר֜וּחַ כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה
And you shall prophesy to the breath,
‘Thus has said Lord Yehovah:
מֵאַרְבַּ֤ע רוּחוֹת֙ בֹּ֣אִי הָר֔וּחַ
From the four winds,
Come O breath,
וּפְחִ֛י בַּהֲרוּגִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה וְיִֽחְיֽוּ׃
And breathe into these slain,
and they shall live!’ ”
37:10
וְהִנַּבֵּ֖אתִי כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֑נִי
And so I prophesied
Just as He commanded me:
וַתָּבוֹא֩ בָהֶ֨ם הָר֜וּחַ וַיִּֽחְי֗וּ
And the breath came into them
and they lived,
וַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙ עַל־רַגְלֵיהֶ֔ם
And they stood upon their feet:
חַ֖יִל גָּד֥וֹל מְאֹד־מְאֹֽד׃ ס
A great formidable force;
37:11
וַיֹּאמֶר֮ אֵלַי֒ בֶּן־אָדָ֕ם
And He said to me, “Son of mankind,
הָעֲצָמ֣וֹת הָאֵ֔לֶּה כָּל־בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הֵ֑מָּה
These bones, the House of Israel they are.
הִנֵּ֣ה אֹמְרִ֗ים
Behold they are saying:
יָבְשׁ֧וּ עַצְמוֹתֵ֛ינוּ וְאָבְדָ֥ה תִקְוָתֵ֖נוּ נִגְזַ֥רְנוּ לָֽנוּ׃
‘Our bones have dried up and our hope has perished, –
we ourselves are cut off!’ ”
37:12
לָכֵן֩ הִנָּבֵ֨א וְאָמַרְתָּ֜ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם
“Now then prophesy and you will say to them:
כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒
‘Thus saith Lord Yehovah:
הִנֵּה֩ אֲנִ֨י פֹתֵ֜חַ אֶת־קִבְרֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם
Behold I AM opening your graves,
וְהַעֲלֵיתִ֥י אֶתְכֶ֛ם מִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם עַמִּ֑י
And I will cause you to come up out from your graves,
O My people;
וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם אֶל־אַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס
And I will bring you to the Land of Israel.’ ”
37:13
וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֑ה
“And ye shall know that I AM Yehovah, —
בְּפִתְחִ֣י אֶת־קִבְרֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם
When I have opened your graves,
וּבְהַעֲלוֹתִ֥י אֶתְכֶ֛ם מִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם עַמִּֽי׃
And so when I caused you to come up out from your graves,
O My people!”
37:14
וְנָתַתִּ֨י רוּחִ֤י בָכֶם֙ וִחְיִיתֶ֔ם
“And I shall put My Sprit within you,
and ye shall live,
וְהִנַּחְתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם עַל־אַדְמַתְכֶ֑ם
And I shall place you upon your own soil;
וִידַעְתֶּ֞ם כִּי־אֲנִ֧י יְהוָ֛ה דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי וְעָשִׂ֖יתִי נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ פ
Then ye shall know that I AM Yehovah,
I have spoken and I have done it, —”

37:15
וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
Then the Word of Yehovah was saying to me:
37:16
וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם קַח־לְךָ֙ עֵ֣ץ אֶחָ֔ד
“Now you O son of mankind,
take to yourself one stick,
וּכְתֹ֤ב עָלָיו֙ לִֽיהוּדָ֔ה
And write upon it,
‘For Judah,
וְלִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חברו חֲבֵרָ֑יו
And for the Sons of Israel, his companions’;
וּלְקַח֙ עֵ֣ץ אֶחָ֔ד וּכְת֣וֹב עָלָ֗יו
Then take one stick, and write upon it,
לְיוֹסֵף֙ עֵ֣ץ אֶפְרַ֔יִם וְכָל־בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חברו חֲבֵרָֽיו׃
‘For Joseph,“The Tree of Ephraim”,
and all the House of Israel, his associates.’ ”;
Romans 11:25-27 King James version
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,
and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
37:17
וְקָרַ֨ב אֹתָ֜ם אֶחָ֧ד אֶל־אֶחָ֛ד לְךָ֖ לְעֵ֣ץ אֶחָ֑ד
“And then join them one to the other for yourself,
into one stick;
וְהָי֥וּ לַאֲחָדִ֖ים בְּיָדֶֽךָ׃
And so they shall become one in your hand;”
37:18
וְכַֽאֲשֶׁר֙ יֹאמְר֣וּ אֵלֶ֔יךָ בְּנֵ֥י עַמְּךָ֖ לֵאמֹ֑ר
“And when they shall say to you, by saying:
הֲלֽוֹא־תַגִּ֥יד לָ֖נוּ מָה־אֵ֥לֶּה לָּֽךְ׃
‘Will you not tell us,
what are these things according to you?’ ”
37:19
דַּבֵּ֣ר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒
“Say to them: ‘Thus saith Lord Yehovah, —
הִנֵּה֩ אֲנִ֨י לֹקֵ֜חַ אֶת־עֵ֤ץ יוֹסֵף֙
Behold I AM taking the stick of Joseph,
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּיַד־אֶפְרַ֔יִם וְשִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חברו חֲבֵרָ֑יו
That is in the hand of Ephraim,
and the tribes of Israel, his companions;
וְנָתַתִּי֩ אוֹתָ֨ם עָלָ֜יו אֶת־עֵ֣ץ יְהוּדָ֗ה
And I will put them together with it, –
the stick of Judah,
וַֽעֲשִׂיתִם֙ לְעֵ֣ץ אֶחָ֔ד וְהָי֥וּ אֶחָ֖ד בְּיָדִֽי׃
And I will make them one stick,
and they shall be one in My hand;’ ”

“That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent Me.”
37:20
וְהָי֨וּ הָעֵצִ֜ים
“Furthermore, they will be sticks,
אֲֽשֶׁר־תִּכְתֹּ֧ב עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם בְּיָדְךָ֖ לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃
In your own hand, where you write on them
before their eyes;”
37:21
וְדַבֵּ֣ר אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם
“Then speak to them:—
כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒
Thus Lord Yehovah has said, –
הִנֵּ֨ה אֲנִ֤י לֹקֵ֙חַ֙ אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
‘Behold I AM taking the sons of Israel,
מִבֵּ֥ין הַגּוֹיִ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָֽלְכוּ־שָׁ֑ם
From among the nations
there where they have gone;
וְקִבַּצְתִּ֤י אֹתָם֙ מִסָּבִ֔יב
And I will gather them together from round about,
וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י אוֹתָ֖ם אֶל־אַדְמָתָֽם׃
And I will bring them to their own land;’ ”
37:22
וְעָשִׂ֣יתִי אֹ֠תָם לְג֨וֹי אֶחָ֤ד בָּאָ֙רֶץ֙ בְּהָרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
“And I will make them into one nation on Earth,–
on the Mountains of Israel,
וּמֶ֧לֶךְ אֶחָ֛ד יִֽהְיֶ֥ה לְכֻלָּ֖ם לְמֶ֑לֶךְ
And One King,
He shall be King of them all;
וְלֹ֤א יהיה־ יִֽהְיוּ־עוֹד֙ לִשְׁנֵ֣י גוֹיִ֔ם
And never again shall they become two nations,
וְלֹ֨א יֵחָ֥צוּ ע֛וֹד לִשְׁתֵּ֥י מַמְלָכ֖וֹת עֽוֹד׃
Nor again shall they be divided
yet again into two sovereignties;”
37:23
וְלֹ֧א יִֽטַמְּא֣וּ ע֗וֹד בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙ וּבְשִׁקּ֣וּצֵיהֶ֔ם
“And never again shall they defile themselves,
with their dungy idol images
and by their detestable things,
וּבְכֹ֖ל פִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑ם
And through their rebellious sins;
וְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣י אֹתָ֗ם מִכֹּ֤ל מוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָטְא֣וּ בָהֶ֔ם
And so I shall deliver them from all their situations
wherein them they had sinned,
וְטִהַרְתִּ֤י אוֹתָם֙ וְהָיוּ־לִ֣י לְעָ֔ם
And I will purify them
and they shall be My People,
וַאֲנִ֕י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָהֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃
And I AM, I shall be their God;”
37:24
וְעַבְדִּ֤י דָוִד֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם
“And My Servant David– as King over them,
וְרוֹעֶ֥ה אֶחָ֖ד יִהְיֶ֣ה לְכֻלָּ֑ם
And One Shepherd shall He be to them all;
וּבְמִשְׁפָּטַ֣י יֵלֵ֔כוּ
And they shall walk within My Judgments,
וְחֻקֹּתַ֥י יִשְׁמְר֖וּ וְעָשׂ֥וּ אוֹתָֽם׃
And they shall observe My Statutes,
and shall do them;”

37:25
וְיָשְׁב֣וּ עַל־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָתַ֙תִּי֙ לְעַבְדִּ֣י לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב
“And they will dwell upon the land
that I gave to My servant, to Jacob,
אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָֽשְׁבוּ־בָ֖הּ אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם
Wherein your fathers have dwelt;
וְיָשְׁב֣וּ עָלֶ֡יהָ הֵ֠מָּה וּבְנֵיהֶ֞ם
And their children, they will dwell on it,
וּבְנֵ֤י בְנֵיהֶם֙ עַד־עוֹלָ֔ם
And their children’s children to futurity,
וְדָוִ֣ד עַבְדִּ֔י נָשִׂ֥יא לָהֶ֖ם לְעוֹלָֽם׃
Together with David My Servant their Prince, for ever;”
37:26
וְכָרַתִּ֤י לָהֶם֙ בְּרִ֣ית שָׁל֔וֹם
“And I will cut a Covenant of Peace, –
בְּרִ֥ית עוֹלָ֖ם יִהְיֶ֣ה אוֹתָ֑ם
an Everlasting Covenant for them, –
He shall be with them;
וּנְתַתִּים֙ וְהִרְבֵּיתִ֣י אוֹתָ֔ם
And so I will establish them
and I will make them numerous,
וְנָתַתִּ֧י אֶת־מִקְדָּשִׁ֛י בְּתוֹכָ֖ם לְעוֹלָֽם׃
And I shall set My Holy One in their midst, for ever;”
Revelation 21:22-24 KJV
22 And I saw no temple (ναός) therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

37:27
וְהָיָ֤ה מִשְׁכָּנִי֙ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם
“And My Abode shall be together with them,
וְהָיִ֥יתִי לָהֶ֖ם לֵֽאלֹהִ֑ים
And I will be their God;
וְהֵ֖מָּה יִֽהְיוּ־לִ֥י לְעָֽם׃
And they shall be My People;”
37:28
וְיָֽדְעוּ֙ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם כִּ֚י אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֔ה
“And the nations shall know that I AM Yehovah,
מְקַדֵּ֖שׁ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל
Having set Israel apart;
בִּהְי֧וֹת מִקְדָּשִׁ֛י בְּתוֹכָ֖ם לְעוֹלָֽם׃ ס
When My Sacred Space came to be among them, for ever.”
