in this translation is rendered as the proper name, “Yehovah”.
The name is translated by others as “Yahweh” and in Jewish circles as “HaShem” (“The Name”) or “Adonai”(“Lord”).
Previously the Divine Name, “Yehovah”, had not been revealed. —
Exodus 6:3 KJV “And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name YEHOVAH was I not known to them.”
